The 2010 Umpire training schedule is listed below. Each umpire must have 6 trainiing hours for IHSAA standards and 10 for Oregon.
State Rules Clinic – THIS IS MANDATORY – February 17 @ 7PM @ Mtn. View High School
IHSAA registration is due Feb. 12 so that your rule book packets will be available at the state rules mtg. 3rd Dist. registration must be completed by Feb. 15 to have voting privleges at the state mtg. on Feb. 17.
Additional clinics are:
*Feb. 22 @ 7PM @ Payette High School gym – plate duties, mechanics, strike zone, base coverage, calls at home plate
*Feb. 23 @ 7PM @ Capital High School gym – live pitching w/var and JV girls and adults from fast pitch leagues
*Feb. 24 @ 7PM @ Caldwell High School cafeteria – flex DP, lineups, 4-3 ejections, handling confrontations, selling the call
*March 1 @ 7PM@ Payette High School gym – umpire game day duties start to finish, base umpire duties, coverage calls
*March 2 @ 7PM @ Payette High School gym – live base umpire work on indoor field (gym floor)
